Why does my V1CE card tap to the wrong page?

Your V1CE card shares your page two ways: a tap (the NFC chip) and a scan (the QR code). If a tap opens the wrong page but the QR scan is correct, the chip just needs re-pointing. This is called re-encoding.

First, check which part is wrong

1. Tap the card on the top-back of your phone. Note the page it opens.
2. Scan the QR code with your camera. Note the page it opens.
3. If the tap is wrong and the scan is right, the chip needs re-pointing.

Re-point the chip

Re-pointing the chip takes a couple of minutes, but the exact steps depend on your app version, so V1CE will walk you through it. Start a chat with V1CE and we will guide you, either step by step or live on the screen-share room on your dashboard (the video icon at the top right).

If your card is locked

Some cards are locked so the chip cannot be changed by accident. If your card will not rewrite, it is locked. Start a chat with V1CE and we will send you a secure unlock so you can re-point it. For your security, we do not post an unlock in chat.

Rename a link

If the page is right but the name on the link is wrong, you can rename it. Open the link switcher (top left), click the three dots next to the user, and choose Rename.
